It has been the trend for all automotive makers to hire celebrities or athletes to be the brand’s ambassador. Nissan aims to captivate the audience with Australian actress Margot Robbie charms, thus, naming her as Nissan’s Electric Vehicle and Zero Emissions Program. Apparently, a head-turning choice for the company.
Margot Robbie is known for depicting the iconic Harley Quinn of the Suicide Squad. She is also a part of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” a drama film and biography starring Leonardo DiCaprio. In the recent Nissan commercial, Robbie kicks things off by taking the wheel of the high-performance, all-electric Blade Glider without special effects or pro driver on the street circuit in Monaco.
A mixture of thrill and adventure, Robbie was a joy to watch taking the 270 hp three-seater car through the famous tunnel. Challenged by a race with another BladeGlider, the actress showed great excitement with the all-electric supercar. According to Car Buzz, this commercial was tagged by Nissan as a mini-movie, and could probably score a part 2 with Ms. Margot Robbie again. Who knows? It might be the next trend.
In an interview, Robbie stated, “It’s [really] an exciting time for electric vehicles. More people are choosing to go electric, leading the way to a more sustainable future and the Nissan BladeGlider hints at the future of smarter performance cars.”
The Nissan BladeGlider can perform 0-62 MPH in less than five seconds and is on its way to Geneva Motor Show on March 7th. The concept for Nissan’s BladeGlider was presented back in 2013, and have earned praises from different critiques. Unfortunately, Ms. Margot Robbie a.k.A Harley Quinn will not be in attendance for the Nissan BladeGlider presentation in Geneva.
